CMMS Location Liaisons

The CMMS Location Liaison is a new volunteer position and initiative within CMMS to encourage an enthusiastic individual from a local university/company/agency/organization to serve as a liaison between CMMS and the individuals at your specific location, in order to help facilitate a more efficient exchange of information.

Example tasks of a CMMS Location Liaison
  • Recruit individuals at your organization to join CMMS.
  • When new individuals join your organization, tell them about CMMS, invite them to a CMMS event and encourage them to join.
  • Ensure individuals at your organization are notified of CMMS events, by forwarding event emails and/or posting event flyers at your location.
  • In January, remind individuals at your organization to pay their annual dues.
  • Ensure CMMS is notified of microscopy related events held at your organization so that we can help notify CMMS members of your event.
  • Inform CMMS of the types of events, speakers, or topics which would be of most interest to the individuals at your organization.
  • Advise CMMS on the best ways to recruit individuals at your organization.
  • Attend CMMS events to stay up to date with the society.
