Negative stain TEM image of a novel tymovirus, Naranjilla Chlorotic Mosaic Virus (NarCMV) isolated from symptomatic leaves of a popular citrus variety, naranjilla, which is commonly cultivated in the Andes for fresh fruit and juice production. Previously there had been no other reports of viral infections on naranjilla, however this new virus represents a potential significant threat to the economy of Ecuador.
